It
seems so very long ago
Since
My Mom and I took a
stroll
Or
helping to cook a meal on
time
For
our hungry family of nine
*smile*

I
loved to watch her in the
garden of hers
Tending
to each flower, trees,
and herbs
Everything
she planted
Seemed
to grow out of no where
She
had a green thumb
Tended
her garden with tender
loving care

I
remember special moments
with just
Mom
and I
Like
brushing my tresses til
it shined
Long
and silky my hair once
was
My
Mom just loved me, just
because *smile*

As
I grew up to become a
woman indeed
My
Mom was still with me
Reminding
me to take heed
The
world can be a cruel
cruel place
It's
up to you to be strong
Kind,
and full of grace

I
remember the day that I
said
Goodbye
for the last time
She
was taken from me
I
thought it was a crime

No
more to see her smiling
face at all
Just
Memories within my heart
and mind
Memories
I can recall
Of
the Love for My Mom
Which
in my heart she had
installed
Written
By Bernadette
