Lonely and Blue

The loneliness creeps in, to the depths of my soul

My heart starts to ache, knowing you must go

Staring out towards the sea

Misty eyes as blue as the ocean in front of me

Missing and longing for your warm embrace

I feel a chill with every breath that I take

Whispering to the breeze

As it blows my message thru the wind

Hoping it will reach you

Wherever you may be

To say that I love you and I'll be waiting

Here patiently

I'll wait for your return

How ever long it will be

I'll sit here on the shore

Gazing out to the sea

And say a little prayer
