Angel Inside of me

I once was angry
Of things that was unforeseen
Things such as heartache
Sadness and Grief
Loneliness, Bitterness
All in between

It was so hard to cope day by day
With problems of life
That would come my way
I prayed one day
For guidance and strength
For love and understanding
Caring and sharing
For I was so demanding

One day as I was sitting alone
My prayer was answered
Like a bright light it shone
It pierced my heart
Right to my very soul
The warmth of love
So wonderful to feel
It was so beautiful, so very real

The angel within me
Is there to listen
She's never far away
Both night and day
There's never a day that goes by
that I thank the one up above
He's shone me Happiness
He's shone me how to Love

My days are filled with
Happiness and Joy
I know what it is now
Like with each girl and boy
To see and feel something special
Deep within their hearts

It's the angel inside of them
They had it from the start
I'm just so glad
My Angel has come into
My Heart
